Job Description
This critical role at Toronto Pearson International Airport demands a highly experienced and proactive Security Manager to oversee comprehensive security operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security programs and procedures for the airport environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies (Transport Canada, CATSA).
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of security officers, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and ongoing training and development.
- Oversee daily security operations, including access control, perimeter security, baggage screening oversight, and patrol activities.
- Respond to and manage all security incidents, emergencies, and breaches, conducting thorough investigations and preparing detailed reports.
- Collaborate closely with airport management, airlines, law enforcement agencies (e.g., Peel Regional Police, RCMP), and other stakeholders to maintain a unified security approach.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments, audits, and drills to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
- Manage security technology systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control platforms, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for airport staff and contractors.
- Prepare and manage the security department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising security standards.
- Represent Hiring.zycto in security-related meetings with airport authorities and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
