Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geologist to join our dedicated mining team in Toronto. This is an exceptional opportunity for a geological professional passionate about driving successful exploration and resource definition programs within a challenging and rewarding environment. As a Senior Geologist, you will play a pivotal role in the full lifecycle of our mining projects, from initial grassroots exploration through to advanced project development and production support, contributing directly to the discovery and sustainable extraction of valuable mineral resources.

You will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive geological mapping, core logging, and sampling programs, ensuring paramount data integrity and strict adherence to industry best practices and quality control/quality assurance (QA/QC) protocols. Your expertise will be absolutely crucial in developing robust, 3D geological models, interpreting complex structural geology, and accurately assessing mineral potential across diverse geological settings. This role demands a profound understanding of various deposit types and the ability to apply advanced geological techniques, including geophysics and geochemistry interpretation, to effectively identify and delineate economic mineral deposits.

Beyond technical execution, you will be expected to contribute significantly to strategic planning and decision-making processes for our portfolio of projects. This includes the meticulous preparation of detailed geological reports, comprehensive resource estimations compliant with international reporting standards (e.g., NI 43-101), and compelling technical presentations for both internal stakeholders and external partners. You will also take an active and dedicated role in mentoring junior geologists and geological technicians, fostering a vibrant culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development within the team.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative setting, working closely with multidisciplinary teams including mining engineers, metallurgists, environmental specialists, and community relations professionals to optimize project outcomes and ensure responsible development. Your critical thinking skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and innovative approach will be essential in overcoming complex geological challenges and ensuring the efficient and safe progression of exploration and mining activities. We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient and experienced but also possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a proactive attitude, and an unwavering commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and community engagement. This is your chance to leave a lasting impact on significant mining projects, contributing to global resource solutions while advancing your career within a leading organization.
