Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise shipments accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify quantities against invoices and identify any discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Organize and store inventory in the stockroom according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom and receiving area at all times.
  • Replenish sales floor with merchandise from the stockroom as needed to ensure product availability.
  • Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation to minimize loss and optimize freshness.
  • Prepare merchandise for display, including ticketing, sizing, and security tagging.
  • Collaborate with sales associates and management to support sales floor activities and special promotions.
  • Operate equipment such as hand trucks or pallet jacks safely and responsibly (if applicable).
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and loss prevention procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven ability to lift and move heavy merchandise (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with an eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory tracking and data entry.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail stockroom, warehouse, or inventory management role.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (POS experience a plus).
