Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all aspects of the structured training program, including classroom learning, simulations, and hands-on clinical rotations.
- Learn and apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of the operating room, including setting up sterile tables and ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available.
- Develop proficiency in identifying, handling, and caring for surgical instruments and equipment.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating needs, passing instruments, and performing other duties as directed under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, especially those related to infection control and patient safety.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document observations and progress as required by the training curriculum and departmental standards.
- Participate in debriefings and continuous learning opportunities to enhance surgical knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
