Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Tyre Fitter to join our growing team in Downtown Haverhill, MA. This is an immediate start position for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced automotive service environment and possesses a strong commitment to quality and safety. As a Tyre Fitter, you will be a vital part of our service team, directly responsible for ensuring our customers’ vehicles are equipped with safe, properly fitted, and balanced tyres. Your expertise will not only contribute to customer satisfaction but also play a critical role in the overall safety and performance of the vehicles we service. Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and efficient tyre fitting, removal, rotation, and balancing for a wide range of vehicles.
- Conduct thorough tyre inspections to identify wear, damage, and potential safety issues.
- Execute tyre repairs safely and according to industry standards, utilizing appropriate tools and techniques.
- Advise customers on tyre condition, recommended replacements, and maintenance best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the service bay.
- Operate specialized tyre service equipment, including tyre changers, wheel balancers, and alignment machines.
- Assist with inventory management of tyres and related parts.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with other service technicians and front-desk staff to ensure seamless customer experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year (12 months) of professional tyre fitting experience.
- Proficiency in operating tyre changing and balancing equipment.
- Strong understanding of tyre types, specifications, and applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift heavy tyres and work on your feet for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with wheel alignment services.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle suspension systems.
- ASE certification in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair or related field.
