Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians with routine examinations and procedures.
- Learn proper animal restraint techniques for various species and temperaments, ensuring safety for all.
- Support in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites.
- Shadow and learn about preparing surgical instruments and assisting during surgical procedures.
- Develop basic laboratory skills, including preparing samples for in-house diagnostics and external submission.
- Help manage client flow, maintain accurate patient records, and provide compassionate client communication under guidance.
- Participate in inventory management, stocking supplies, and ensuring all necessary equipment is available.
- Adhere strictly to all clinic protocols, safety regulations, and ethical standards of animal care.
- Actively engage in learning opportunities, ask questions, and seek feedback to enhance skills and knowledge.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Genuine passion for animal welfare and veterinary medicine.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

- Enrollment in or recent graduation from an Animal Care Attendant program.
- Previous volunteer or paid experience in an animal-related setting (e.g., shelter, kennel, pet store).
