Key Responsibilities
- Perform various welding processes including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on different materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine layout and appropriate welding procedures.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure quality, adherence to specifications, and compliance with industry standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare surfaces for welding by grinding, cleaning, and positioning components.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on welding machines and associated equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project objectives are met on schedule.
- Troubleshoot and repair welded products as needed, ensuring structural integrity and functional performance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and characteristics.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and practices.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a professional Welder.
- Familiarity with various types of welding machines and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding certifications (e.g., CWB, AWS) relevant to the position.
