Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various welding processes including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on different materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine layout and appropriate welding procedures.
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure quality, adherence to specifications, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment and machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Prepare surfaces for welding by grinding, cleaning, and positioning components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on welding machines and associated equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project objectives are met on schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and repair welded products as needed, ensuring structural integrity and functional performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in multiple welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Strong understanding of metal properties and characteristics.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and practices.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a professional Welder.
  • Familiarity with various types of welding machines and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Welding certifications (e.g., CWB, AWS) relevant to the position.
  • Experience with various fabrication and metalworking tools.
  • Prior experience working on industrial or structural projects.
  • Basic knowledge of metallurgy and material science.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or overhead cranes (certification preferred).
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments.
