Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure APIs using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to define API requirements and specifications.
- Implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, ensuring efficient data exchange and optimal performance.
- Write comprehensive API documentation for internal and external developers.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and best practices.
- Debug and troubleshoot API issues, ensuring reliability and stability of services.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our API architecture and development processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to API development.
- Ensure API security, data integrity, and compliance with relevant standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Java, Go, C#)
- Strong experience with RESTful API design and development principles
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GraphQL API development
