Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a passionate and driven Full-Time Recreation Coordinator to join our vibrant team in Allerton, Liverpool. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement a diverse range of recreational programs and activities for all age groups, including sports, arts, educational workshops, and community events.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of programs, including scheduling, venue booking, equipment acquisition, and participant registration.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise part-time staff, volunteers, and instructors for various programs and events, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure cost-effective delivery without compromising quality.
  • Conduct community outreach to assess recreational needs and interests, building strong relationships with residents, local businesses, and community organizations.
  • Promote programs and events through various marketing channels, including social media, local press, newsletters, and flyers.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and relevant legal requirements.
  • Collect and analyze program evaluation data, preparing reports to assess effectiveness and inform future planning.
  • Maintain inventory of recreational equipment and ensure its proper use and maintenance.
  • Respond to inquiries and feedback from program participants and the community in a professional and timely manner.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in recreation program development, implementation, and coordination (minimum 2 years).
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and experience supervising staff or volunteers.
  • Proficiency in budget management and basic financial tracking.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and comfort with community management platforms.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Sports Management, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, youth, adults, and seniors.
  • Knowledge of local community resources and partnerships within Liverpool.
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Experience with recreational facility scheduling software.
