Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a visionary and highly experienced IT Director – Infrastructure to lead our technology backbone. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker who can not only manage current infrastructure operations but also architect and implement future-proof solutions that support our rapid growth and diverse client needs. As IT Director, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and operation of all IT infrastructure services, including networks, servers, storage, cloud environments, cybersecurity, and data centers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of all network, server, storage, and cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure the highest levels of system availability, performance, and security through proactive monitoring and management.
- Lead and mentor a team of IT infrastructure specialists, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Manage IT budgets, forecast resource needs, and optimize expenditure while maintaining high service quality.
- Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance infrastructure capabilities.
- Manage key vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and IT services.
- Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Oversee cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring robust protection against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with other departmental leaders to understand business needs and deliver tailored IT solutions.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in enterprise networking (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs).
- Extensive experience with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity principles, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and best practices.
- Proficiency in IT service management (ITSM) frameworks (ITIL).
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, MSc in IT Management).
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCIE, VCP, CISSP, PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate).
