Job Description

Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Hardware Technician to join our growing team in Outer Harbour, Toronto. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other IT devices.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of client infrastructure.
  • Document all service activities, repairs, and installations accurately and promptly.
  • Provide clear, concise, and professional technical support to end-users on-site.
  • Manage inventory of spare parts and components, ensuring availability for timely repairs.
  • Collaborate with the remote support team to resolve complex issues and escalate as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and client-specific protocols.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Proficiency with various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, components, and network hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform component-level diagnostics and repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with server hardware installation and maintenance (e.g., Dell, HP, Lenovo).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) best practices.
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple tasks and clients.
