Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured training program covering all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
  • Assist Warehouse Managers and Team Leads in daily operational tasks, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
  • Learn and apply best practices for inventory management, stock rotation, and quality control procedures.
  • Monitor and support workflow processes to optimize productivity and meet operational targets.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Shadow experienced staff to understand labor scheduling, performance management, and team leadership.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) under supervision, once certified.
  • Generate and review operational reports, learning to analyze data for performance insights.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude
  • Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation to the job site

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, retail, or manufacturing environment (even part-time or volunteer)
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS)
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
