Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion meals and beverages according to dietary requirements and patient preferences.
- Serve meals and drinks to patients in their rooms or designated dining areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collect used trays, dishes, and cutlery from patient rooms and dining areas.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain strict hygiene standards.
- Assist with washing dishes, pots, and pans using dishwashing machines and manual methods.
- Restock food service areas, fridges, and trolleys with necessary supplies.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations, hospital policies, and health and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nurses, and other hospital staff regarding meal service.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized kitchen and dining environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor promptly.
