Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of air freight shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
- Prepare, process, and manage all necessary documentation, including air waybills, customs declarations, and freight manifests.
- Communicate effectively with clients, airlines, customs officials, and overseas agents to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
- Track and trace shipments, providing regular updates to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate rates with airlines and service providers to secure the most competitive and efficient routes.
- Ensure strict compliance with all international air freight regulations, customs procedures, and company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and provide proactive solutions to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for service improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain solutions.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an Air Freight Agent or similar role within the logistics industry.
- Profound knowledge of international air freight regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Demonstrable experience with freight forwarding software and relevant IT systems.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- IATA Dangerous Goods certification.
- Experience with specific freight management software (e.g., CargoWise One, Magaya).
- Multilingual capabilities, particularly in European or Asian languages.
