Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, robotics, and sensor technologies.
- Perform preventative maintenance on automated equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend machine life.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems using schematics, diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
- Calibrate and adjust automated systems to meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and system modifications accurately.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement automation enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide technical support and training to operators on automation system functionality and basic troubleshooting.
- Participate in the commissioning of new equipment and system upgrades.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of experience as an Automation Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and industrial control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with robotics, servomotors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or certification in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
