Key Responsibilities

  • Assist bakers with daily production tasks, including scaling ingredients, mixing doughs, and preparing fillings.
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., mixers, ovens, proofers) after training.
  • Ensure workstations are clean, sanitized, and organized at all times, adhering to strict food safety standards and regulations.
  • Package and label baked goods accurately and attractively for display and sale, ensuring quality control.
  • Receive and store inventory, rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste effectively.
  • Support front-of-house staff by preparing items for display and assisting with basic customer inquiries as needed.
  • Follow recipes and production schedules diligently to meet daily targets and maintain consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including washing dishes, wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining overall bakery hygiene.
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.

Required Skills

  • Strong enthusiasm and a genuine interest in baking and culinary arts.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work independently or as part of a cohesive team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with an eye for detail.
