Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and innovative CleanTech Engineer to join our growing team in Bloordale Village, Toronto. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about environmental sustainability and eager to apply their engineering expertise to develop groundbreaking clean technology solutions. As a CleanTech Engineer, you will be instrumental in the research, design, development, and implementation of systems and processes aimed at reducing environmental impact, improving resource efficiency, and promoting renewable energy. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis of emerging clean technologies and environmental regulations.
- Design, develop, and optimize clean energy systems, waste management solutions, and sustainable industrial processes.
- Perform feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments for new projects.
- Utilize CAD software, simulation tools, and other engineering applications for system design and analysis.
- Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate the performance and efficiency of clean technology solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and other engineers to ensure successful project execution from conception to completion.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze project performance, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
- Ensure all designs and processes comply with relevant environmental standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of advancements in clean technology, materials science, and environmental engineering.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and engineering simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and materials science.
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems (solar, wind, geothermal), energy storage, and smart grid technologies.
- Familiarity with waste management processes, recycling technologies, and circular economy principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license in Ontario or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience with life cycle assessment (LCA) and environmental impact analysis.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for environmental protection and clean energy in Canada.
- Project management experience in an engineering or clean technology setting.
- Experience with process instrumentation and control systems.
- Certification in a specific clean technology area (e.g., LEED AP, Certified Energy Manager).
