Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Hardware Technician to join our growing team in Outer Harbour, Toronto. Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, peripherals, and networking equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other IT devices.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of client infrastructure.
- Document all service activities, repairs, and installations accurately and promptly.
- Provide clear, concise, and professional technical support to end-users on-site.
- Manage inventory of spare parts and components, ensuring availability for timely repairs.
- Collaborate with the remote support team to resolve complex issues and escalate as necessary.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and client-specific protocols.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Proficiency with various operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture, components, and network hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to perform component-level diagnostics and repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification.
- Experience with server hardware installation and maintenance (e.g., Dell, HP, Lenovo).
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management (ITSM) best practices.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple tasks and clients.
