Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Kinesiologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in the vibrant heart of King Street West, Toronto. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists, to provide comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive kinesiologic assessments to evaluate client's physical abilities, limitations, and functional goals.
  • Design, implement, and supervise individualized exercise prescription and rehabilitation programs for clients with various conditions (e.g., musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, neurological conditions).
  • Educate clients on proper exercise techniques, body mechanics, injury prevention strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Monitor client progress, modify treatment plans as necessary, and document all client interactions and progress notes accurately.
  • Collaborate effectively with physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, and other healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices, research, and advancements in Kinesiology and rehabilitation.
  • Ensure a safe and clean clinical environment, adhering to all professional and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional client service, fostering a positive and motivating environment for recovery and wellness.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Required Skills

  • Registered Kinesiologist in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (COKO)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive kinesiologic assessments and prescribe effective exercise programs
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science principles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency in client progress documentation and record-keeping
  • First Aid and CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a private clinic or rehabilitation setting
  • Experience with various therapeutic modalities and exercise equipment
  • Specialized certifications (e.g., FMS, SFMA, specific manual therapy techniques)
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
