Job Description

Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a talented and dedicated Mobile Device Specialist – IT to join our vibrant team in Parkwoods, Toronto. In this crucial role, you will be the cornerstone of our mobile ecosystem, responsible for the entire lifecycle management of company-issued mobile devices, including smartphones, tablets, and other portable IT assets. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of company mobile devices (iOS, Android), including procurement, deployment, configuration, and decommissioning.
  • Administer and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro) for device enrollment, policy enforcement, and application deployment.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for mobile hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for end-users.
  • Develop and implement mobile device security policies and best practices to protect sensitive company data.
  • Conduct regular audits of mobile device inventory and usage to ensure compliance and optimize resource allocation.
  • Evaluate new mobile technologies, applications, and accessories, recommending solutions that enhance productivity and security.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for mobile device procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate mobile solutions with existing enterprise systems and infrastructure.
  • Educate and train end-users on mobile device functionality, security protocols, and corporate policies.
  • Stay current with industry trends, security vulnerabilities, and new features in mobile operating systems and MDM solutions.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in iOS and Android operating systems
  • Experience with MDM/EMM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro)
  • Strong understanding of mobile security principles and best practices
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with network protocols (Wi-Fi, VPN) and mobile connectivity
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, Apple Certified Support Professional, Android Enterprise Associate)
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools for mobile device management
  • Knowledge of enterprise application deployment and management
  • Previous experience in an IT support role with a focus on mobile devices
  • Familiarity with identity management solutions (e.g., Azure AD) in conjunction with MDM
