Job Description

Join Hiring.zycto as a Network Operations Center (NOC) professional, where you will be an integral part of our 24/7 operations team, ensuring the continuous availability and optimal performance of critical network infrastructure across various client environments. This role demands a proactive and analytical individual comfortable with shift work, prepared to monitor, respond to, and resolve network incidents with precision and speed, minimizing downtime and service disruption. You will be at the forefront of identifying potential issues before they impact services, performing initial diagnostics, correlating events, and escalating complex problems to specialized Level 2/3 engineering teams following established protocols. Your ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment will be absolutely key to your success and our operational excellence.

In this vital position, you will utilize a sophisticated suite of monitoring tools and dashboards to continuously observe network health, system performance, security alerts, and application availability across a diverse range of technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and cloud resources. Beyond reactive troubleshooting, you will actively contribute to preventative maintenance initiatives, review network performance trends, develop and refine operational documentation, and proactively identify opportunities to improve monitoring systems and overall operational efficiencies. This is more than just a monitoring role; it’s an opportunity to apply your technical skills in a high-impact setting, directly contributing to our clients’ business continuity and success through vigilant oversight and rapid response.

We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient in network fundamentals and troubleshooting methodologies but also possesses exceptional communication skills to articulate technical issues clearly, both verbally and in writing, to various internal teams, management, and external stakeholders. You will be a critical first line of defense, often working independently to diagnose and stabilize situations, requiring a strong sense of responsibility and ownership. If you are passionate about maintaining network uptime, resilient in the face of complex technical challenges, eager to expand your knowledge base, and thrive in a supportive, expert team environment dedicated to operational perfection, then Hiring.zycto is the place for you to make a significant and tangible difference in the world of network operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network infrastructure, applications, and systems 24/7 using specialized tools and dashboards.
  • Perform initial troubleshooting, incident triage, and response for network outages, performance degradation, and security alerts.
  • Diagnose and resolve common network issues (e.g., routing problems, connectivity issues, hardware failures, latency).
  • Escalate complex incidents to appropriate Level 2/3 engineering teams and external vendors following established protocols.
  • Accurately document all incidents, resolutions, system changes, and maintenance activities in ticketing and knowledge base systems.
  • Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, perform routine health checks, and verify system integrity on network devices and services.
  • Collaborate effectively with other IT teams (e.g., security, server, applications) and external partners to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to internal teams, management, and clients regarding incident status, impact, and resolution.
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of NOC processes, procedures, monitoring tools, and automation initiatives.
  • Adhere strictly to shift schedules, ensuring seamless operational coverage and effective handovers at all times.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar IT support role.
  • Strong foundational understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing protocols like OSPF/BGP, VLANs, DNS).
  • Proven experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Zabbix, PRTG, Splunk).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting network connectivity, performance, and application-layer issues.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux command line, Windows Server).
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and remain calm in a high-pressure, fast-paced incident response environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Availability and willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation).
  • Experience with firewall management, VPN technologies, and basic network security principles.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus generous shift differentials.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Robust paid time off (PTO) policy and paid statutory holidays.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development, training, and certification support.
  • A dynamic, collaborative, and highly supportive team environment.
