Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort and organize mail and parcels for delivery according to established routes.
- Safely and punctually deliver mail, packages, and other items to designated addresses.
- Operate a company vehicle responsibly and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collect signatures when required.
- Provide friendly and professional service to customers, addressing inquiries or concerns as they arise.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Handle undeliverable mail and packages in accordance with company policy.
- Navigate routes efficiently using maps, GPS, and local knowledge.
- Work independently and manage time effectively to complete daily tasks within deadlines.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to security and confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent spatial awareness and route planning abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic computer proficiency for handheld devices and navigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or courier role.
