Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sourcing Manager to join our growing team in Baltimore. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies that optimize our supply chain, reduce costs, enhance quality, and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in strategic procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management across diverse categories. You will be responsible for identifying potential suppliers, evaluating proposals, negotiating terms and conditions, and managing supplier performance to ensure alignment with our business objectives and high standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage sourcing strategies for key categories, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including supplier identification, qualification, bid analysis, and selection.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Conduct thorough market research and spend analysis to identify new sourcing opportunities and best practices.
  • Manage supplier performance through regular evaluations, QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews), and KPI tracking, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and performance standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g., engineering, operations, finance, legal) to understand their needs and align sourcing strategies with business goals.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and operational factors.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing and procurement function.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain best practices and industry trends.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Professional certifications such as CSCP, CPSM, or C.P.M.
  • Experience with global sourcing and international supplier management.
  • Familiarity with lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, technology, or a related industry sector.
  • Experience mentoring or leading a small team.
