Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain the stockroom and sales floor inventory in a tidy and systematic manner.
- Replenish sales floor with merchandise from the stockroom as needed, ensuring timely availability.
- Perform regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits to maintain accurate records.
- Prepare merchandise for display, including ticketing, sizing, and security tagging.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines for handling merchandise.
- Collaborate with sales associates and management to ensure optimal stock levels and product presentation.
- Assist with transfers of merchandise between locations if required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the stockroom and receiving areas.
Required Skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy merchandise (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for checking invoices and managing inventory.
- Reliable and proactive work ethic.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or POS software.
- Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment (certification a plus).
