Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced tile setters in preparing surfaces for tiling, including cleaning, levelling, and applying waterproof membranes.
- Learn and practice techniques for cutting, shaping, and fitting tiles accurately to specific designs and dimensions.
- Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants according to industry best practices and project specifications.
- Help with the safe handling and transportation of tiling materials and tools on job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools are properly stored and cared for.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Observe and actively participate in learning from senior team members, asking questions and seeking feedback.
- Contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment.
- Develop a foundational understanding of different tile types, their properties, and suitable applications.
Required Skills
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
- Basic understanding of measurements and angles (training will be provided).
